![]() Monopolar membranic electrolyzer
专利摘要:
Disclosed are electrode assemblies which can be used to build a monopolar membrane electrolytic cell suitable for the production of chlorine, alkali metal hydroxides and hydrogen having at least on central electrode assembly sandwiched between two and electrode assemblies with membranes therebetween to form a closed cell. Several of these resulting electrolytic cells can be connected in series or parallel to form electrolyzers very suitable for the electrolysis of a solution of sodium chloride or potassium chloride.
(5) MONOPOLAR MEMBRANE ELE1SGROLYZER one The invention relates to chemical engineering, in particular, to the structures of monopolar membrane electrolyzers used in the electrolytic production of chlorine and carbonate soda. A monopolar membrane electrolyzer is known, equipped with an anode, cathode, and an ion-exchange membrane between them. The use of such electrolyzers separately makes it difficult to supply communications in the shop, bus-bar and requires significant production areas .15 A monopolar membrane electrolyzer is also known, consisting of separate cells with one or several double central electrode elements connected in series G2. A known electrolyzer is assembled from individual cells in the manner of a filter press, and insulating spacers are placed between the cells. 25 if necessary replacements of a separate cell in such an elec- the cell is disconnected and the entire electrolyzer is disassembled, which significantly complicates the maintenance of the cell. The aim of the invention is to simplify the maintenance of the electrolyzer. The goal is achieved by the fact that in a known monopolar membrane electrolyzer consisting of separate isolated cells with one or several double central electrode elements connected in series, each cell is provided with two side cup-shaped electrode elements of the same polarity placed with a convex part outside the cell and spacer bars, the electrode elements of each cell are fastened together with each other, flanged, and connected to the current distributors through the spacer bars.

Claims (2) [1] FIG. 1 shows an electrolysis cell, a general type; FIG. 2 is a cross section through cell in FIG. 3 side cup-shaped electrode element- nafig. t TO, top view in section, in FIG. a double central electrode element in three projections; in FIG. 8, the connection of the cells into a series. The electrolyzer consists of three cells 1. Each cell (Fig. 2) contains a double central electrode element 2 and two lateral cup-shaped electrode elements 3. between which the ion-exchange membrane C is located. The cell is contracted through the flanges of the electrode elements 5. The side cup-shaped electrode element (Fig. 3) is provided with spacer bars 6, which electrically combine with the current distributors 7. Holes 8 are made in the spacer bars for better circulation of electrolyte. The double central electrode element is provided with spacer bars 6, which are electrically connected by current distributors 7. Holes 8 are made in the spacer bars for better circulation of electrolyte. FIG. Shown is the sequential connection of individual cells with the power of tires 9. The electrolyzer is preferably used to obtain chlorine and caustic soda solution by electrolysis of sodium chloride solution. At the same time, in the anbd part of the electrolyzer. Gaseous chlorine is discharged through fitting 11 through the nozzles of the 10th sodium chloride solution through the fitting 11. Water and caustic soda solution are introduced and removed through the nozzles 12, and hydrogen gas through the nozzles 13. The double central electrode element is preferably made of titanium With oxide coating and connected to the positive pole of the current source, the side tea-shaped electrode elements are made of steel and connected to the negative pole of the current source. The membrane is used perfluorinated, sulfonic cation. When servicing the electrolyzer, if necessary, any cell can be removed without stopping the electrolyzer as a whole. This makes it possible to replace the old one with a new one, to repair it or inspect it, which greatly simplifies the maintenance of the electrolyzer as compared to the known electrolyzer. Claims A monopolar membrane electrolyzer consisting of separate isolated cells with one or several double electrode elements connected in series, characterized in that, in order to simplify the maintenance of the electrolyzer, each cell is provided with two side cup-shaped electrode elements of the same polarity placed convex. part of the cell and spacer bars, the electrode elements of each cell are flanged and connected to the current distributors of the spacer bars.
